If you want to place the Calla in a pot, choose a pot that is large enough and that has a hole at the bottom so that excess water can drain and the roots do not rot.
Make a hole twice larger than the root ball. Sprinkle sufficient potting soil or peat into the planting hole.
For optimal growth and flowering, provide light fertilizer every spring.
If you want to repot the Zantedeschia/Calla, use a pot that is a lot larger than the previous pot.
Remove faded flowers and yellowed leaves regularly.
Keep the soil slightly moist. Not too wet, not too dry.
The Calla is not winter hardy. Bring the plant indoors before the first frost or protect it well.
Allow the plant to rest after flowering. Gradually reduce watering and allow the foliage to die. Store the tuber frost-free and dry.
